Rewatching "the Graduate" with some recent graduates, I found the movie spoke to them in their current emotional and physical state. They graduated college and feel discontent under the guise of what their parents wanted them to do, instead of what they wanted to try. The film spoke to them about why we rebel, challenge the norms (striking against society and their parents), and making self destructive decisions.
