Think about this a second. If all of John Hughes movies that took place in Shermer, IL (60062) were in a shared universe, would we have had EITHER Principal Rooney or Principal Vernon, since both seemed to have been at the school forever. Now, chew on this, Farmer Ted (Sixteen Candles) , Brian Johnson (The Breakfast Club), and Gary (Weird Science) (all played by Anthony Michael Hall) would have all been there at the same time. As would have Samantha, Claire, and Andie (all played by Molly Ringwald). Just think of the missed opportunities.
